My grandpa has Alzheimer’s leading into dementia. He fell a couple weeks ago and had to be hospitalized, so I came home. It’s likely the last time I’m going to see him alive, and the last time I’ll be able to go into my grandparents house that I grew up in. During my time home, I photographed him and his house, spent hours talking about his military service, and grew to accept what will inevitably happen next.

Hey all! So lots of reasons why I haven't posted in a while. Mainly, my scanning light is broken still (about 8-9 months later) so I haven't scanned new shots in. This has caused a lot of film burnout.
Thankfully, I purchased a Fuji GFX 100s and have been taking it out on a walk around the lake almost every day!
So for now, I'll be slowly uploading photos I've enjoyed from my walks.

Winter is seemingly over so I can come back out of hibernation! Just got my rad AF Nanopano half frame medium format camera over the weekend. Took it out for a spin today, and managed to find a rabbit along my walk that didn’t immediately dart away. Felt really good shooting with it. I hope to have the results next weekend!

An absolutely demolished Cooper after todays walk. Spring is finally hitting our area so we can get out more. That means the mushrooms aren’t too far off!

Went on a bit of a longer walk today over to one of my favorite buildings. The sun was pretty high and so was the contrast. I may try to go out earlier in the morning and photograph it in different light, but I love how the first one turned out.

Finally got into physical therapy to resolve some issues that have plagued me for the last five years when I had to stop doing long distance marathoning and cycling. Feeling better about the prospects of getting back into cycling while running probably isn't going to happen again.

With that, I took Cooper out on a longer walk today and found this weird statue!

Cooper is 100% dead after our walk today. Homie pulled me all the way back to our apartment after just over a mile.

The camera got a little update with the 2bit Toy Camera+ shell and a 5-50mm (50-500mm on the gameboy camera) lens! Close focus is such a dream with this setup and should help with the .

Took some time this morning to chill out with some coffee and mess with my custom frame. I decided to scrap adding any branding and opted for the repeating pattern instead. Overall, I think it's cute and quirky!

What do you think? Any suggestions on how I can improve it?

With it being , I thought I'd offer my extremely humble photo of the Cascade Falls in Maryland. Wider shots like this are pretty difficult to discern what's going on when the contrast is so high as well, but I hope you enjoy it, all the same.

Working on a lil border for my IG accounts Gameboy camera shots. I'm not great at pixel art but I'm enjoying where this is heading.

So I've recently swapped back to digital photography, after experiencing burnout with my film camera setup. I present to you, the sub-1 megapixel beauty, the Gameboy Camera!

I'll mainly be photographing mushrooms with the setup, but I also intend to use it for day-to-day "journaling".

Enjoy the inaugural mushroom and a CD cover handmade by Video Dave that I hand colored.

Not dead, just taking a long break from social media and reflecting on my photography over the years. The subjects are generally better. The edits are massively better in most cases too. This is somewhat in part to my scanning setup and software improving, but it's also because I've grown in my abilities. The white border edit was uploaded to Flickr almost exactly one year ago. The full scan was earlier today.

Happy , , , or . Pick your poison!

For this photo, I wanted to feel small after I found this TINY growing from the of a very large tree.

I'd love to hear what yall think!

Had a great looking for . Sadly I couldn't manage a good composition with the gear I had with me, but I couldn't pass up at least a phone snap of this , , trifecta!
